About the Event

This is a three-day conference exposing young women to the historical and current female influence on policy and politics. The question: How can women be better represented and heard in all facets of life?

Women in Politics (WIP) is a three-day summer institute for young women from the Sacramento region. Participants get a first-hand look at the workings of state politics, focusing on issues affecting women and their communities. Participants also dive into hands-on exercises aimed at fostering healthy self-image and self-worth. Youth are given a chance to get out into the community to meet and hear from influential females on issues affecting them. From here, participants are pepared to begin thinking about and envisioning their future life path, supported by our staff and professional adult mentors.

Don't miss this opportunity to develop life long leadership skills using our holistic approach! #YouthPower #femalestothefront
