Policy Leadership Programs
Since 1998, PLP has supported youth engaged in real-life research, planning and policy-making processes.
Since 1998, the California Center’s Policy Leadership Program (PLP) has supported youth engaged in real-life research, planning and policy-making processes.
PLP links youth to adults participating at all levels of policy and systems-change initiatives. Driven by underlying equity and youth development goals, PLP has become a trusted fixture in California, responding to the priorities of youth, community partners, local & state-level policymakers, and our funders.
Financial support for this program is provided by The California Endowment, California Wellness, W.K. Kellogg, Robert Wood Johnson, and several respected statewide associations and corporations. Their leveraged investments in the PLP have helped us develop a year-round cycle of activities that now supports hundreds of youth working to improve themselves and our communities through civic action and public-service careers.
